#1 · Jan 24, 2016 Hello everybody! I own a cee'd (2008) with 1.6 CRDI 85kW motor. In 2012 with 59000miles it was replaced the first turbo under warranty. Now turbo is whistlying again The car has 142915 miles. Is it possible, that turbo from 94kW motor fits on mine ? This Garett turbos are obviously very poor or what?

The turbo blew up. Bang, smoke, rattling. Replaced. Then it will limit itself to 3000rpm whenever it wanted to. And no errors on the computer. And now, it looks like if there was a small delay introduced when the turbo activates, to prevent it happening. In any case, getting rid of the car because of nightmare KIA service and behavior.

I currently drive a new model ceed 1.6 crdi 126/8 which i enjoy , the only downside is it is the eco model and has high gearing which makes it feel a bit lethargic. i am so glad the ceed gt has a turbo pushing 200 bhp - BUT WHAT KIA NEED IS A TURBO FITTED TO THE 1.4 SHOVING OUT 140/150 BHP. Great 'post'. Just had same problem on my 2008 ProCeed 1.6 CRDi 113 bhp. Total engine cut-out on dual carriageway . dodgy to say the least ! Waited 3 minutes and restared ok and drove for a few days ok without problem recurring.
